It all started at the ripe old age of 13. This is when my parents discovered the house would never be quiet again. I joined the school band where I was surrounded by some very talented drummers. This was quite the motivator for me so I started taking private lessons and bought my first drum set, a little used set I picked up for a couple hundred dollars. About a year later I joined my first band and so began my roller coaster ride as a part-time musician. I had played with a few different garage bands when I hooked up with Spitfire (soon to become Snowblind), my first gigging band. I was with the band, through different line-ups, for about five years, performing at the H.A.R.D. Battle of the Bands, wedding receptions, senior balls, just about any job that would hire us. In 1981 the band moved to Hawaii, playing the club scene there. We were there for about a year when we disbanded and returned to the Bay Area. Since then I have played with several cover bands. I recently started looking for a band with the same goals and priorities when I fortunately hooked up with Sliding Sideways. The rest will become history.
Regarding equipment, I have two drum sets, rehearsing with my old Pearl and using the set of my dreams when playing out:
